Alecia Fiecter, Vocals has performed as a vocalist in multiple countries and states with her collegiate choir and as a soloist in the past 4 years. She has performed as a soloist for seasonal performances in central Florida and Chicago. Alecia has taken the lead in several musicals. She has directed multiple children’s bands and choreography groups. She has co-directed a suburban children's choir in Chicago through 3 seasons of musicals in 2014-2015. Children are the people that Alecia has felt drawn to give her life’s work to for years. She has enjoyed nannying and pouring into hundreds of different children's lives. Directing children’s choral performance groups is one of her highest goals and callings. Alecia is a comical, outgoing energetic and intentional performer and teacher. Any time spent in her children’s choir will be full of interactive, fun-loving learning complete with laughter and practical life lessons while focusing on the particular skill of learning music well.
Jeff Althouse, Piano, Keyboard, Back-up Vocals earned his Bachelor of Music degree from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio and his Master of Arts degree from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. He directed the Saint Cloud Presbyterian Chancel Choir for 10 years and is currently the Music Minister at Rolling Hills Community Church in Mount Dora.
As an educator, Althouse has been teaching piano, brass, and vocal lessons for over thirty years. Althouse has served as a band director at Holy Redeemer Catholic School in Kissimmee, Florida and as Choir Director at Discovery Intermediate School in Poinciana, Florida. He began teaching privately at The Fame Conservatory in Youngstown, Ohio and The Warren Music Center in Warren, Ohio. While in Florida he taught at Mars Music in Orlando,Florida, The Music Shack in Casselberry, Florida and at Jammers Music Center in Saint Cloud, Florida. After Jammers closed the St. Cloud store in 2009, Althouse chose to open his own music school now known as Mr. Jeff’s Music Academy where he teaches over forty students a week. www.mrjeffsmusicacademy.com
Moving to Florida in 1996, Althouse played as a substitute on trombone for the Disney Magic Kingdom World Band and the Kids of the Kingdom Band. He has also performed with the Dr. Otto Jazz Combo, Orquestra Sensual, the Chosen Few, the Cotton Davis Band, Michael Barr, and the Now and Then Band. He also performs solo piano and leads a band formed from his staff at Mr. Jeff’s Music Academy.
Mike Barr, French horn began formal studies on the French horn at age 13 with Arnold Mascaro, former principal horn with the Florida Symphony Orchestra, and continued studies with Wendell Ryder of the San Jose Symphony. Mike graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts in 1984. Mike has been a recital performer throughout Central Florida since then, performing at weddings, dinner parties, and corporate events. In addition to recital playing, Mike has performed with the Museum Chamber Winds, the Brass Band of Central Florida, and the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra. He currently can be heard playing with the Orlando Brass Quintet, and the Above the Bar Trio.
Melvyn Thompson, Drums was born in Guyana and received musical training at the Calderon Music School in East Hanover New Jersey. He plays Electric bass as well as percussion and has recently performed at the First Presbyterian Church of St. Cloud and the Rolling Hills Community Church in Zellwood and with Above the Bar.
